Abstract
This study was conducted to examine the relationship between characteristics of farmers and their knowledge in Ambah Sub-Division of Madhya Pradesh. It was revealed that the age of respondents showed significant correlation with knowledge, while education, landholding and caste existed significance in some important practices. Type of family and annual income showed their significance only in few practices. The multiple determination indicates that caste, type of family, annual income and landholding together affected the knowledge of plant protection measures significantly to the extent of 78.88 per cent.
