Susceptibility of various gourd cultivars/genotypes to red pumpkin beetle, Aulacophora foveicollis (Lucas)

Abstract
The genotypes/cultivars of cucurbitaceous vegetables (bottle gourd, ridge gourd and smooth gourd) evaluated against red pumpkin beetle, Aulacophora foveicollis (Lucas) to their susceptibility at Anand Agricultural University, Anand during kharif 2004 and summer 2005. The genotypes/cultivars ABGS-99-1, ABGS-4 and Pusa naveen of bottle gourd, ARGS-98-1 and ARGS-98-3 of ridge gourd and ASGS-02-12, JSGI-55 and Pusa chikni of smooth gourd were found relatively less susceptible to this pest and also good in yield potential.
