Abstract
Among four detection methods tested, the standard blotter method without pre-treatment yielded the highest association of A. carthami (38%), followed by the modified blotter method at pH 7 (25%). Component plating revealed that pathogen association was highest in the seed coat (75%) and cotyledons (25%), while the plumule, radicle, and embryo were completely free from infection.
