Response of 'Junagadh 11' Groundnut to Different Levels and Sources of Phosphorus under Rainfed Conditions in Medium Black Soils of Saurashtra

Abstract
A field experiment was conducted during the kharif seasons of the years 1975-76 and 1976-77 at Main Dry Farming Research Station, Targhadia (Rajkot) to study the response of 'Junagadh-11' groundnut to different levels (0, 25 and 50 kg P2O5/ha) and sources of phosphorus (single superphosphate and di-ammonium phosphate) under medium black soils of Saurashtra). Yields of pods and veins were not significant-ly influenced by the different treatments during both the years. Possible reasons for lack of response are discussed. Further studies are also suggested.
