Abstract
A field experiment was conducted at Instructional Farm, College of Agriculture. JAU. Junagadh (Gujarat) during rabi season of 2011-12. The soil of the experimental field was clayey in texture having field capacity moisture of 28.88 % and PWP of 12.86% and soil moisture before sowing was 22.15 %, pH 7.9. The experiment was laid out in split plot design with four replications. Keeping four levels of irrigation [0.4, 0.6, 0.8 and 1.0 irrigation water (IW) cumulative pan evaporation (CPE) ratio] in main plot and two sowing method [M1= line sowing at 30 cm and M2 = broadcasting] in sub plots. The result revealed that for getting higher yield and maximum economics of fenugreek should be irrigated at an IW/CPE ratio of 1.0 with sown at 30cm row spacing along with other recommended package of practices.
