Abstract
The probability of the moisture available days in different crop growth stages of the bunch and the spreading varieties of groundnut were worked out for Rajkot, Keshod, Mahuwa, Bhavnagar and Jamnagar stations. The critical period for the groundnut crop is characterised with respect to soil moisture availability and there-from the suitability of groundnut variety in Saurashtra region is ascertained. The stations under study are ranked on the basis of moisture available days as Mahuwa, Keshod, Rajkot, Bhavnagar and Jamnagar in order.
