Abstract

The aim of the study to determine the evolutionary relationship of two wild mushrooms based on 18s rRNA sequences. Genomic DNA was isolated by CTAB method, and 18S ribosomal RNA amplified by PCR using forward ITS4 and reverse ITS5 primers. Sequencing was done and similarity identified with BLAST. The analysis revealed 98.89% similarity with Earliella scabrosa 99.20% with Fomitopsismeliae. Phylogenetic tree was constructed using Neighbor-Joining tree, Minimum evolution tree methods using MEGAXI software.
