Management of Black Banded Disease of Mango

Abstract
A field trial was conducted at government Seed Farm, Talala (Dist. Junagadh) during 1997-2000 on 10 yr old mango orchard of cv. Kesar to evaluate spray and pasting schedules against black banded disease caused by Rhinocladium corticolum Massee. Bordeaux paste 10% gave 100% control of treated spots on branches. Next effective treatments were copper oxychloride 0.25% and carbendazim 0.15% which gave 90.59 and 58.85 per cent disease reduction respectively when applied after rubbing with coir-brush. Rubbing increased the efficacy of fungicides.
