Abstract
Higher water application reduced oil content due to a dilution effect. Higher nitrogen doses (125 kg N/ha) and black polythene mulch combined with drip irrigation significantly increased total carbohydrate content. Oil and carbohydrate levels increased significantly as fruit matured from green to red stage.
