Abstract

Cotton is an important global cash crop and suffer from several foliar diseases. Among these, bacterial leaf blight and fungal foliar diseases occur frequently and cause significant economic losses. Bacterial leaf blight and fungal foliar are most important and frequently occurring diseases and it causes significantly yield loss. High density planting of cotton is being new emerging concept, bacterial and fungal diseases are came simultaneously many times. Fungicides and antibiotics separate spray are increased cost of cultivation and time consuming so to test compatibility and effectiveness of tank mixing of fungicides and antibiotics are being necessary. A field experiment was carried out under irrigated condition at Cotton Research Station, Junagadh Agricultural University, Junagadh during 2018-19, 2019-20 and 2020-21. The Pooled and economic analysis of the three years data revealed that the all fungicidal treatments were found effective to suppress the Alternaria leaf blight and Bacterial leaf blight disease of cotton. Significantly minimum Alternaria leaf blight disease intensity recorded (8.74%) in spraying of Fluxapyroxad 167 g/L + Pyraclostrobin 333 g/L SC @ 1.5 mL/L, tank-mixed with Streptocycline @ 0.5 g/L and it was at par with (Fluxapyroxad 167 g/l + Pyraclostorbin 333g/l SC) + Streptocycline (8.96%) at medium dose (1.0ml/lit.+0.1g/lit.) and (Fluxapyroxad 167g/l + Pyraclostorbin 333g/l SC) + Streptocycline (9.51%) at lower dose (0.75 ml/lit.+0.075g/lit.). The minimum disease intensity of Bacterial leaf blight was (6.67%) recorded in spraying of Propiconazole 25EC + Streptocycline at higher dose (1.25 ml/lit. + 0.125g/lit.). Statistically significantly highest seed cotton yield (2912 kg/ha) was recorded in spraying (Fluxapyroxad 167 g/l +Pyraclostorbin 333g/l SC) + Streptocycline at higher dose and it was statistically at par with (Fluxapyroxad 167 g/l +Pyraclostorbin 333g/l SC) + Streptocycline at lower dose (2881 kg/ha), (Fluxapyroxad 167 g/l +Pyraclostorbin 333g/l SC) + Streptocycline at medium dose (2868 kg/ha) and Propiconazole 25 EC + Streptocycline higher dose (2647 kg/ha). Looking to economics of various treatments with fungicides, the highest net realization of ₹ 26605/ha was obtained in spraying of (Fluxapyroxad 167 g/l +Pyraclostorbin 333g/l SC) + Streptocycline at lower dose. No any phytotoxicity was recorded in all combination of treatments.
