Abstract
The present study was conducted with the objective to identify the opinion of primary and secondary school teachers about probable challenges of National Education Policy 2020. Total 100 teachers were selected for the study, out of which 50 were from primary level and 50 from secondary level classes. The data was collected through a NEP 2020 opinion tool which was a dichotomous answer type questionnaire shared both personally and via google forms. The results revealed that the respondents recorded maximum agreement over challenges pertaining to curriculum & pedagogy, testing & assessments, and the inclusive education aspect of NEP (2020). Comparatively higher number of secondary school teachers showed agreement over the challenges under various aspects of the policy with an exception of foundational literacy-based issues. The study concludes that in the opinion of the teachers, there are some doubts and ambiguity in the policy document which could pose challenges to the desired impact envisioned by the policy.
